Even though the CDC believes that bisexual people make up the largest group in the LGBT community, there are many people out there who don’t believe bisexuality is a real “thing.” Some – including this Chinese artist and LGBT activist Jessie Page – think these misconceptions could be addressed with simple truths and information.
You know, things like cute kitten drawings!
To that effect, she’s drawn a series she calls Paws of Pride.
The sweet comic strip promotes inclusivity and explains why labels aren’t the best way to get to know people. It seems likely to help, because cats and the internet are always a great way to go. Right?
Without further ado, here are 5 common misconceptions these kittens are taking head on.
#5. Bisexual people are not just trying to get attention.
#4. Bisexual people are not just indecisive.
#3. Bisexual people are not just half-gay, half-straight.
#2. Bisexual people are not just confused.
#1. Bisexual people are not just going through a phase.
None of those things, y’all – but this!
We’re all human, we’re all walking our own path and looking for our own truth, so make some space and give up a smile on the street!
