These Yoda Bookends Bring the Force to Your Shelves

Books are one of the best things in the world. And if you asked a good number of people, they would probably say that Star Wars is another of the best things in the world. And regardless of all of the controversies that have surrounded the series through the decades, one thing has never changed: we all love Yoda.

We quote him, we want to be him, we cry when he dies, and with the recent introduction of baby Yoda in the Disney series The Mandalorian, well…Yoda’s more popular than ever.

Which is surely something whoever invented this bookend was aware of.

The handy ornament is being sold by Hallmark, and its design makes it appear as if Jedi Master Yoda is using nothing but the Force to keep your leaning stack of books from toppling over.

And for an extra coolness factor, the bookend holds your books at a slant, so they look like they’re mid-fall when Yoda steps in to save the day.

I love subtle fandom decorations like these – ones that tell everyone you’re a specific kind of nerd without shouting it from the rooftops. Kind of like being part of a (not-so-secret) club!

Marrying books and Star Wars (and Yoda)? A recipe for success, for sure. Even if it’s being made by Hallmark and not somewhere artsy like Etsy, I expect these will fly off the shelves – regardless that people have to use their actual hands instead of the Force (or an Accio! spell or UPS) to grab them.

Are you planning to pick these up? You’ll have to get past me, first!
