Bride Invents IKEA Bathroom Bag Fix for Her Wedding Dress

It may sound silly, but finding a way to pee in your wedding dress can be a serious downer on the big day. Wedding dresses are heavy, they’re often full, and they’ve got layers and stuff. It’s honestly not an undertaking for one person, normally – and even then you’re lucky if your pristine white (or blush or ivory) frock doesn’t end up dotted with yellow.

And let’s not even talk about what the hem will look like after dragging on the bathroom floor.

Well, bride-to-be Tina decided to get out in front of the problem with something she had just lying around the house – a used IKEA bag.

It turns out you really can find anything there, because Tina found a way to keep her dress out of the way and her dignity intact (in theory) on her wedding day.

She posted pictures of her hack on IKEA hackers blog, and it has unsurprisingly gone viral.

Tina cut a hole in the bottom of the bag, then gathered her dress and lifted the bag up until the straps fit over her shoulders.

That’s it. Your dress is all tucked in nice and tight, you can reach your underwear, and nothing that isn’t supposed to be is touching the floor.

Who knew? I, for one, wish Tina had been around on my wedding day.

Hack or not, I will never be doing that again – but good luck to all of you who are headed down the aisle!

And take Tina’s advice: a trip to IKEA before the big day is a new but essential must-do.
