If you live somewhere you can shop in bulk, and can always make sure that you have the foods you need (and the only frozen fried crap your kids will eat), then your freezer is probably your best friend. Chicken nuggets, fries, fruits and vegetables – anything that can be saved in the freezer is a win.
That said, not everyone chooses to splurge on those handy, resealable containers, which can cause problems. If you don’t get the bag closed all the way, or your chip clip gets knocked loose (or some little hands have stolen and/or broken them all), your food will get freezer burned, or maybe even dump loose into the bottom, never to be seen or heard from again.
You’ve tried clips, you’ve dumped your food into other, freezer-safe bags, you’ve gone with second containers meant for the freezer, but nothing is perfect.
At least, not until you see the hack this Australian man posted on TikTok.
It’s so simple – all you need is a pair of scissors, and any bag you buy is magically a resealable, freezer-safe bag.
Philip Quinn demonstrates the hack below in his video, but the concept is basic – you make one, deep cut and then tie the bag into a knot.
Done and done.
People’s minds are completely blown, and I have to say, I am included in people.

My mind is blown. My life is changed.
Thank goodness TikTok has escaped censure and continues to bring us content like this over the internet.
Are you going to try this? Do you have a hack of your own when it comes to freezer bags?
If it can top this, please share it with us in the comments!
