If you’ve ever wondered when you need to start protecting your laptop and phone, etc, with passwords so that your kids can’t “accidentally” (or otherwise) go on a shopping spree online, the answer is probably as soon as they’re born.
At least, that’s what New Jersey mom Madhu Kumar would tell you after packages she didn’t remember ordering began to arrive on her doorstep.
The multiple orders resulted from her doing a little imaginary retail therapy – you know, when you go to different websites and put things in your cart that you would love to buy – then realize you can’t afford them and never return?
Well, Madhu didn’t return, but according to the mom of three – whose older kids denied involvement – her toddler Ayaansh did.
He was playing with his mom’s phone and pressed purchase on her Walmart shopping cart. Before they knew it, boxes containing furniture, flower stands, and accent chairs (among other things) began to arrive.
His mother said they just couldn’t believe the littlest sibling was the culprit.
“He’s so little, he’s so cute, we were laughing that he ordered all this stuff.”
She says they are going to keep a few of the purchases, but will return the rest to a nearby store.
The impish toddler’s father said they will be taking precautions to make sure the same sort of incident doesn’t happen again.
“Moving forward we will put tough passcodes or face recognition so when he picks up the phone he finds it in locked condition.”
I’m not sure how this keeps happening? I get notifications from Amazon that say “thank you for your order” or “your order is shipping” stop using these babies as an excuse! 😆

Not everyone believed the story could really be possible, since we all know that confirmation and shipping emails typically arrive before packages, but hey – the next time you order more than your partner would approve of, you might as well give this excuse a try.
It seems to have worked at least once.
