Valentine’s Day is all about spending time with that special someone and trying to make great memories that will last a lifetime, right?

Maybe a nice night out on the town? Dinner, dancing, then back to their place? And then breakfast in bed the next morning? Or something like that?

Well…maybe not for everyone

A lot of people out there feel burned by their exes, and February 14 can be a simmering cauldron of bitterness.

If that describes you, I have some good news! The San Antonio Zoo has figured out a pretty epic way for you to get back at your ex and feel a little better about all the BS they put you through.

Distant (#63457)

For $25, you can name a rat after your dreaded ex. This rat, who now bears that terrible person’s name, will then be fed to a snake on February 14. What’s not to love!

And even if you don’t live in Texas, you can still watch because the zoo is going to live-stream the event on Facebook.

Before the strike

Hey, it’s okay to be petty sometimes. You’re not really hurting anyone (except that rat, but a snake’s got to eat) and you get to blow off a little steam while having some fun.

FYI, you can also pay $5 to the San Antonio Zoo to have a cockroach named after your ex if you’d like to go a cheaper route. It’s a win-win!

To all you scorned lovers out there: keep your heads up and have a good Valentine’s Day!
