It’s always strange to learn new historical facts you thought couldn’t possibly be true. Young children are often surprised to find out that some people believed the Earth was flat, and adults are often surprised to know there are some people who still believe this.
One Tumblr thread dedicated itself to pointing out historical facts that seem too good to be true. We’re not a detective agency and this is the internet, so take these with a grain of salt.
