This Map Shows the Most Frequently Used Word on Every Country’s Wikipedia Page

Wikipedia might not be the best place to go if you’re sourcing your high school or college history paper, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have any interesting information to offer. Which is exactly what Reddit user Amiantedeluxe proved when he compiled the most common word on each country’s page using a word frequency counter. To keep things interesting, he excluded prepositions, words directly connected to the country’s proper name, and included a few other search parameters.

This is what came of his compilation:

And okay, some of them (national and Africa, for example) aren’t terribly interesting. But take a look at the U.S., and tell me if chills don’t go right down your spine.
