12 Great Moments You May Have Missed In These Comedic Films

If there’s one thing every movie lover knows, it’s that you have to watch films several times to really see every last detail. It can be time consuming but, with the right movie, it can also be a treat – and totally worth it in the end.

Like in these 12 instances, when you just might have missed something great in the background of a popular comedy.

12. He did it twice.

Because yeah, it was that good.

Recognise the orderly from the opening of Hubie Halloween? (2020) That’s Ben stiller reprising his role as Hal L. The mean orderly from Happy Gilmore (1996)

11. She had taken over.

This movie is an absolute classic.

In Mean Girls (2004), we learn that Regina, leader of the Plastics, told Gretchen that she couldn’t wear hooped earrings because they were her thing. Later in the movie, when Cady becomes leader of the Plastics, we see her wearing hooped earrings, showing that she became just like Regina.

10. If you thought the resemblance was uncanny…

This is why.

In The Sandlot (1993), the actor who plays Benny Rodriguez as an adult is Pablo Vitar, the IRL big brother of young Benny’s actor, Mike Vitar.

9. Bless her heart.

She wasn’t cut out for the minion life.

In Mean Girls (2004), Regina forbade Gretchen to wear hoop earrings. Once they broke up, she is seen wearing hoop earrings.

7. It really is plausible.

Despite what people try to say.

In Home Alone (1990) when they counted the people for the trip they say there’s 17 people in total. An odd number between two vans means they will be split 8/9. Since Kevin was missing both vans had 8 people instead, making each group assume they were on the 8-people van, not suspecting a thing

6. I wonder if that meant anything…

It would have made me a little nervous, at any rate.

In Billy Madison (1995), when Danny (Steve Buscemi) crosses off Billy’s name off of his “people to kill” list, the remaining names on the list are the producer of the movie and various other production crew members.

5. Why does he think he’s taking it, though?

That’s what I want to know.

In the Truman Show, we see Truman taking high dose vitamin D at breakfast time. This is to counteract the deficiency he would have becouse there is no real sunlight in the constructed world he inhabits.

4. This movie is a gold mine.

Probably because it’s literal gold.

In Deadpool 2 there’s a drawing of Wolverine tagged “Prisoner 24601” – that’s Jean Valjean’s prisoner number in Les Miserables, also played by Hugh Jackman.

3. It’s a small joke.

Totally worth it, though.

In the movie Semi-Pro (1998) when Rob Corddry’s wife is cheating on him with Monix (Woody Harrelson) his “Kentucky” jersey just says “cuck”

2. Where you’d least expect it.

That’s what makes it such a fun surprise!

1. Hardly anyone would notice.

But if you know, you know.

In Palm Springs (2020), Nyles is drinking “Akupara” beer. In Sanskrit, Akupara means “unlimited, unbounded” and in Hinduism, it’s the name of a tortoise described as “one who is without death.” Confirmed by the director, source in comments.
