You should never judge a book by it’s cover.
Most of us hear this adage more than once while we’re growing up, and yet, as adults, we’re caught off guard all the time when people act differently than we expect them to, even though we know we shouldn’t.
One of my favorite types of characters are the “himbos” – the big, dumb dudes that end up having a heart of gold. And while this guy probably isn’t dumb, the story is still giving me the warm fuzzies.
It begins the day a lesbian sits next to a huge, scary (she thinks) jock in class…and he bonds with her.
They shared a moment, and I am here for it.
They met again at lunch and had another wholesome interaction, and my heart just grew three sizes.
Ok, if I put this guy in a book as a character, absolutely no one would buy it. I love him.
They continued to cross paths, until one day he needed her help.
This has to be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
That last bit is classic Colin.
I am shipping this whole thing so, so incredibly hard and I would read their story and watch their movie.
Sometimes, this is just the sort of story we need so that we remember there are genuinely good people in the world, don’t you think?
Happy sigh.
