Artist Draws Male Superheroes as Risque Pinups

There are plenty of photos and artistic renderings of pinup girls — you know, those iconic vintage pictures of women posed in provocative positions.

But when was the last time you saw a pinup man? Maybe never.

Artist David Talaski is hoping to change all that with his series of drawings of male superhero pinups.

“My husband and I are big comic book/movie fans, and I really love midcentury illustration.

Especially pinup pieces from artists like Gil Elvgren and Alberto Vargas.”

Just look at some of his incredible work below!

Here’s Loki gossiping with a friend on the phone:

And Bucky Barnes just waking up and enjoying some coffee:

And Tony Stark, aka Ironman, looking seductively over his shoulder:

It’s pretty obvious that Talaski is a ridiculously talented artist, which makes sense when you consider that he works as a professional video game illustrator. His skills are incredible!

Plus we love the fact that he took a hyper-masculine subject and flipped it on its head. Because, in case you haven’t figured it out by now, men who enjoy the company of other men obviously have major crushes on hunky superheroes. It works both way folks!

But hey, that’s our take. What do you think of Talaski’s work? Do you like the superheroes as pinup men? Or are they better in their superhero suits?

There are no wrong answers… unless you’re hateful. Let’s keep it fun and civl in the comments!
