Brendan Fraser Has a Lot of Feelings About Fans Supporting Him Online

It’s no secret that people love Brendan Fraser. He’s magnanimous, he’s honest about his struggles, he’s, well…he seems a lot like a regular person. Like us.

Which is probably why we hate the fact that he seems to be under-appreciated by Hollywood, even after some of his iconic roles have taken mediocre films and elevated them into the pop culture lexicon.

Brendan Fraser hit big in the 90s in fun movies like Encino Man and Blast From the Past, proving that not only was he adorable, he had great comic timing.

Other films, like With Honors, put his dramatic skills on display, and when he landed the lead role in the original Mummy franchise, he surprised everyone by being willing to do his own stunts.

The end of the trilogy also spelled trouble for Fraser, though, whose body was battered by the stunts and demands of his job, leading to expensive surgeries and the inability to work as much, or sometimes at all.

His personal life took a turn around the same time, with an expensive split from his wife costing him hundreds of thousands of dollars a year and an uncomfortable incident with a Hollywood heavy-hitter – Philip Berk – allegedly sexually assaulting Fraser at a party.

Since then, he’s struggled with both his physical and mental health, wondering more than once whether or not his work might not have dried up due to his speaking publicly about the aforementioned assault.

Luckily for Fraser – and us – a role on The Affair brought him back into the public eye. We’ve all been reminded of not only his talent but his sweet nature, his openness, and his willingness to connect with audiences on a human level.

Recently, while speaking with TikToker @littlelottiecosplay about his role in an upcoming Scorcese movie Killers of the Flower Moon, the host made mention of the outpouring of support and love for him online.

Even though Fraser was doing the interview in character, it was clear that the moment choked him up.

Just one more reason to love him, if you ask me.

He’s the actual best, and I will support him to my dying breath, thank you very much.
