When things are collectively tough, there are many different ways to cope. Some people rest, some bake, some exercise. Others adopt new pets, plant gardens, and yes – many of us turn to comfort foods during trying or stressful times.

If you’re a Disney lover, then you already know their frozen pineapple treat is a delight.

If you’re not a Disney lover, first of all, what’s wrong with you? Second, you don’t have to like Disney or Disneyland to enjoy a delicious treat, so read on.

And okay, here’s the thing: this isn’t the exact recipe Disneyland uses, since theirs is vegan and dairy-free, but if those are your dietary restrictions, I’m sure you can alter this to suit your needs.

It’s pretty simple to make – 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream, 4 oz of pineapple juice, and 2 cups of frozen pineapple.

You pop it all into a blender until it’s smooth, and voila! The perfect spring and summertime treat.

If you don’t like pineapple, you could do this with any fruit juice/frozen fruit treat!

You’ll need a piping device to get their signature swirl – or just pop it into a baggie and cut off the tip, then swirl away!

It’s not the same as heading to Disneyland, or Disney World, or even getting out to your favorite nearby theme park on a warm, early summer day, but hey – we need to take what we can get right now.

Thank you, Disney, for letting us bring a little bit more of the magic home.
