Ladies and gentlemen, meet the world’s next marketing genius.
His name is Lukas Yla, a young man originally from Lithuania who’s now trying to break into the competitive marketing scene in San Francisco. We all know how hard it is to land an interview, but Yla has gained a lot of buzz lately because of the ingenious tactic he uses to get his resume in front of recruiters.
Yla disguises himself as a Postmates delivery person and hand-deliveres boxes of delicious donuts to job recruiters. The extra special ingredients? Yla’s resume and a special note.
The inside of the box reads, “This delivery is not a mistake. I pretended to be a Postmates delivery guy to ensure my resume was delivered to you personally.”
Yla’s creative thinking has been paying off:
I had 10 interviews so far. Recruiters, marketing pros and people in general love this kind of approach, it’s something you didn’t expect, fun and out of the box.
I think it’s safe to say that this young man is on the rise. It’ll be exciting to see what he comes up with next!
