I think most of us realize that no matter how dreamy someone’s life looks from the outside, nothing is perfect – not even when your parents are Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson.
The couple seems like one of the most stable, happy, good-natured and grounded in all of Hollywood, but that doesn’t mean their son Chet is without complaint.
He dished about what it was like in a recent YouTube video, but don’t worry, because in the end, he realizes how lucky he is and says he “wouldn’t change” his situation.

‘Bro, f–k these people. They are just jealous of you.”

He wishes someone had been around to say that (and more) to his younger self.
“You have all these things that they want, so they are trying to f–king thrown their shade at you so you can feel s–tty about yourself because they are jealous. I needed to hear that. I didn’t have anyone to tell me that. This is me now telling the younger version of myself what I needed to hear then.”
He says that, growing up, he dealt with people assuming he was “arrogant, entitled, and spoiled” and how he found it impossible to change their minds, despite his behavior.

“It was extremely hard to break down their walls.
So, I encountered a lot of disdain, a lot of animosity and negativity because everybody was just prepared to hate my guts.”
In the end, he admits the jealousy wasn’t unfounded, as he got to have many experiences that normal kids just don’t have access to.
“There’s a lot of advantages, but sometimes it can be pretty weird. I got to do a lot of cool s&%t that a lot of people don’t get the opportunity to do. I got to travel the world, stay in nice hotels, fly on private planes, and I’m very blessed for that. I wouldn’t change my situation.”
So, as you expected, his life wasn’t so terrible he would trade it for yours.
But to be fair, even the most charmed existences aren’t perfect.
