Man Uses Cardboard Cutouts to Take Epic Sunset Selfies
Sunsets are nature’s way of showing off. A splash of red here, a dash of pink there, some bright orange there. Voila, an effortless masterpiece in the sky.
TV producer John Marshall decided to add his own artistic flair to the mix while staying at a cabin in Maine. He calls his series “Sunset Selfies” and we must say they’re pretty great.
Marshall makes cardboard cutouts of interesting shapes and figures, then takes selfies with their silhouettes against the sunset.
Some are humorous, others are romantic and still others are a little creepy.
Like this one with featuring the Grim Reaper:
It’s not just his cardboard cutout skills, either. He also stages the photos in a clever way, too:
Here’s Marshall “juggling” some kittens and a frog:
A Quidditch match:
Santa, is that you??
And here he is walking a fire-breathing dragon:
And playing cards with a shark:
How cute are these trolls?!
And these tiny elephants:
Oh look! It’s Ghandi!
Wait… how’d he do this?
Okay, what’s going on?!
Marshall’s Instagram is full of these creative silhouette selfies, so if you need to kill a few minutes of time, go ahead and take a look. You might even be inspired to get out the scissors and some cardboard yourself!
Do you make a special point of looking at sunsets and sunrises? Are you more apt to unwind at the end of the day?
