Think back to when you were a young kid…
If you can remember, you probably recall that you thought about AND believed all kinds of weird stuff. Don’t try to deny it!
What strange things do you believe when you were a kid?
Let’s see what people had to say about this.
1. Don’t touch those!
Or else…
That touching a ladybug would kill you because they have spots like poisonous frogs

2. I’m getting bigger!
I would be a giant by now.
I thought whenever you had the hiccups it meant you were growing

3. What do you mean I don’t need them?!?!
That is bad news…
I thought you had to get braces to be a teenager and burst into tears when told I didn’t need them. Also that if you shuffled cards an even number of times they would go back in order. Only an odd number of times mixed them up.

4. Eat the crust.
Never skip it!
The crust of bread had all the vitamins in it so I had to eat it. I was 49 years old when it dawned on me that it was all the same. I’m not proud of this 😑

5. You’re in for a big surprise.
It could go any way!
I thought when a mom had a baby it’s race would be a surprise because my grandparents had adopted my aunt who was Apache. When I told my mom I hoped my new brother or sister was going to be black she told me my dad wouldn’t like that.

6. That’s why it’s called a “restroom”.
Now I want one of these.
I thought restrooms were fully for napping. Like, before kindergarten, I thought there was a giant-ass room with mats or some shit, and that’s where everyone went to rest. Let me tell you how confused I was day 1, surrounded by 5 year olds pissing in the nap room.

7. That’s a racist song!
Oh, wait…never mind.
I thought the song “white Christmas” was racist and thought it was weird the song was still played in stores. I thought it was referring to people not snow

8. Not for everyone…
I don’t think I could pull that off.
I thought that if you wanted to go kayaking, you had to be in the splits the whole time, Barbie style. 😨 pic.twitter.com/qPGy04cx9a

9. Looking up to the sky.
That’s a big boat.
I thought god was a talking cloud (because everyone always looked up while praying) and that the world was one massive boat because the clouds were always moving??

10. That’s one huge conveyor belt.
Kids sure do think funny, huh?
i thought that when you checked your luggage and put it on the conveyer belt at the airport you were sending your suitcase on an underground conveyer belt that sped your luggage to the next state you were going to

11. The woman in the toaster.
Well, isn’t that adorable?!?!
I thought there was a little old woman that lived in the toaster to cook the bread. Once when i was making toast and it popped up too dark, I sent it back down to her to fix it. When it came up burnt, I cried to my mom that the little old lady didn’t cook it right.

12. Worried about the “holey” priests.
What’s gonna happen to them?!?!
I went to Catholic kindergarten, and one day I heard one of the supervisors tell another how one of the priests was very holy, and I was worried because I thought they meant holey like Swiss cheese and he was going to die. I was about 3 or 4.

13. Three big things.
I really like the one about the sting rays.
3 things
1. Sting rays lived in space.
2. Thunder was caused by clouds bumping into each other.
3. Harvest moons happened when wheat was being harvested on the moon. 🌾🌕— Lavender (@LavenderKidd) December 20, 2020
