Tumblr is a great place for totally random, but totally amazing takes that you never knew you wanted or needed in your life…but you definitely did. There are threads on literally everything under the sun, and I promise you will feel like such a deep thinker when you’re done.
It all began when someone mused that the most unrealistic thing about Star Trek is that no one complains about the uniforms having no pockets.
To which someone replied, very practically, that people in that universe really don’t have much to carry in said pockets.

Things like communication devices are embedded, and yeah, there are some weapons that no one wants near their genitals.

It makes more sense to bring a bag, right?
Unless you want to pick up a cool rock, as someone who is either a geologist, a boy under the age of 12, or a man of any age, honestly, pointed out.

But yeah. In this world, something as simple as picking up rocks is also hazardous to your health. Nothing ever goes as planned (but if it did, I guess it wouldn’t be such a great television show).
