12 People Discuss Unsolved Mysteries They Think Should Have Been Already Resolved

One mystery I thought was never going to be solved in my lifetime is the BTK, a k**ler in Kansas who eluded capture for over 30 years.

And when he was finally captured in 2005 I was pretty shocked.

But there are a ton of mysteries out there that are waiting to still be solved.

And here are 13 that people on AskReddit think should have been solved by now.

1. Still bothering you.

“We had a m**der back here in Syracuse that has always bothered me.

Two men working at night in a normal service garage with the garage door open at night (summer) were beaten to d**th. Since my dad was a cop he told me it was so bad brains were on the ceiling, meaning someone raising that sledgehammer must have done that. To two men.

How does that turn cold and never get solved? I literally asked him about it like a year ago and it is still a cold case (he is long retired). But how can a crime so brutal and heinous, never have a conclusion. Like are they still walking around?”

2. Cover-up?

“We had the state government cover up a missing girl that left a state facility for troubled kids.

11 year old Serenity Dennard, walked on to the highway in middle of winter outside Rapid City, SD and was never found.”

3. Where did they go?

“On the evening of Saturday, February 19, 2005, Imbo and Petrone joined another couple for drinks at Abeline’s bar and restaurant located at 429 South Street in Philadelphia. Witnesses stated that the couple left the bar at about 11:45 p.m. en route to Imbo’s New Jersey home.

They were last seen walking on South Street toward Petrone’s parked vehicle, a 2001 Dodge pick-up truck. Since their disappearance, there has been no activity on Imbo’s or Petrone’s cell phones or personal finances. Imbo had a 2-year-old son and Petrone had a teenage daughter.

Media accounts state that both had close relationships with their children and families and were unlikely to have voluntarily disappeared.” There’s a theory that her ex had them k**led, in a “m**der for hire” situation, because he supposedly has a solid alibi.

It’s just crazy for two people and a truck to just disappear, with cameras everywhere, today.”

4. Maura Murray.

“The Maura Murray case has haunted me forever.

Pretty sure it’s been almost two decades and literally not a shred of solid evidence in any direction.

It’s unimaginable.”

5. A big one.

“I’d like to know who the Zodiac K**ler was or is.

Was it really Arthur Allen, or someone else?

He seems like a decent suspect, but I haven’t really done much research on it.”

6. Tupac and Biggie.

“Tupac and The Notorious BIG m**ders! It’s been about 25 years since both of them.

Both happened in majorly public areas in front of a lot of witnesses. There have been a ridiculous number of details that nearly describe their k**lers looks and cars perfectly, yet we still have no idea who either is. There’s even a video of some fans had filmed inside their car(probably a BIG camera since this was 1997) and they are filming biggie leaving the Peterson Automotive Museum where he celebrated at an after party after the Soul Train Music Awards.

That means since Biggie only got murdered right down the road from this after party at the museum and since the vehicle came alongside their vehicle after leaving the museum, that the k**lers vehicle or k**ler themselves is likely on this film, yet still a big f**king mystery to who k**led either of them. Too bad the police in both situations are covering s**t up to the point where the police in general may be responsible.”

7. Suspicious.

“Tamra Keepness

Going on 17 years now. I know a lot of police. They know police working the case. My understanding is they have a very solid suspicion in one of the family members, but little to no evidence.

They also believe other members of the family know, but are unwilling to be a “rat”. They’ve resigned themselves to crossing their fingers and wishing for a d**thbed confession.”

8. Weird.

“Who k**led the frog boys in South Korea?

5 boys go missing in 1991 playing together, parents searched and blamed one another for years until the boys were found in 2002 buried in the mountainside behind the town- due to police incompetence officers with no forensic experience were digging up the bodies, weird things happened such as the local military taking the families of the boys in the middle of the night to the mountainside to spiritually guide them to the bodies.

I think the military personnel shot the boys by accident and covered it up as there was a military range in the mountainside, then they felt bad so they tried to guide the parents to the bodies found on the mountainside.”

9. Was he in danger?

“Brandon Lawson.

Despite the multiple phone calls giving his location, to all his family, friends, neighbors, 911, and the fact multiple people were at the scene of his accident within hours of it happening, but there’s absolutely no trail of where he could’ve gone or what happened to him.

I don’t believe some of the claims he intentionally disappeared to escape his minor warrants, and especially not he was specifically asking the 911 operator to send cops to his location because he genuinely believed he was in danger from someone.”

10. What’s the truth?

“The a**assination of Kennedy by a plot involving the CIA.

Basically, America k**led one of his president because he was a threat to the people who really run the show. And I’m not into any conspiracy theories, the proof are out there.

Oliver Stone made a striking documentary about it recently. There is no more doubt this was a CIA operation to remove this threat from office. It’s so disgusting, makes me sick….”

11. Corruption.

“Daniel Morgan’s m**der.

As far as I remember, the m**der could easily have been solved at the time if it weren’t for the corruption surrounding the case.

As it is, it’s almost certain no one will be convicted.”

12. Vicky Hall.

“The Vicky Hall M**der. This isn’t one that gets much attention, but it was huge in my area when it happened (September 1999)

Vicky was 17 and walking home from one of the two nightclubs in our town with a friend. They got to their road, and her friend went into her house. Vicky lived about 50 yards down the road, but never made it home. Her body was found in a ditch about 25 miles away a while later, there was no evidence of anything s**ual.

One of my father’s friends was had up for it (he was so drunk that evening that he couldn’t remember where he was.) A woman who lived on that road had claimed she’d heard his car (not seen, heard), but she had also been fired by him a few months prior.

It got to trial, and the key piece of evidence was soil found in his car. The prosecution claimed it was only a close match for the soil near where Vicky was found, but the defence got their own soil expert who found 3 samples around our town that were far closer.

He was found innocent (I mean, how could a man that drunk drive, pick up a girl, k**l her, and drive 25 miles without being stopped by police?)

My mother thinks it was a guy that worked in the Bingo at the time, because he was had up for other m**ders in the next big town over. However the police have never made that connection, and the family still thinks it was my dad’s friend.”
