There’s not much better in the high heat of summer than a lazy day floating in the pool. You’ve got your suit, you’ve got your sunscreen and your floaty, some sunglasses and maybe a drink…but what is your dog going to do while you’re lazing the day away?
Dogs love to laze in the sun, too, and many of them also enjoy a cool dip in the pool – so don’t you think it might seem a bit rude to them, all of these perfect summer days with them watching from the sidelines?

If you’d love to rectify that and spend the day floating with your dog, good news – there’s a simple, cheap, and easy solution that will make you both happy.
Facebook user Corey Schmidt wanted to include his little pug in the summer fun, and rummaged around his house until he came up with the answer, in the form of a plastic laundry basket.

To follow in his footsteps you’ll also need a pool noodle and some zip ties, but that’s it, I promise.
You take the noodle and secure it to the outside rim of the laundry basket with the zip ties, and voila! Your pup will be able to enjoy the cool of the water while floating with their bestie in the summer breeze.

I mean sure, you could buy something for pet to float on but you would probably have to spend more money, plus you wouldn’t have the satisfaction of having done it yourself.
So this is a pretty nice option.
