There’s no doubt that Hocus Pocus is one of the most beloved Halloween movies out there, and it continues to earn more and more viewers every single season. So many people love the movie, in fact, that the cast said yes to a reunion show that was broadcast online.
It took 27 years, but the reunion we’ve all been hoping for finally happened – Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler, and Kathy Najimy were back together as the Sanderson sisters, wigs and all.

Parker, who of course plays Sarah Sanderson, stepped back into the character like she never left, and for that, fans everywhere are very, very grateful.

The reunion was part of an event this past October called In Search of the Sanderson Sisters,” and it combined with a virtual event that benefitted the New York Restoration Project.
There were tons of famous people there and they raised some great money – sorry we missed out!

I know the movie can be a little cringeworthy with our modern lens – an entire town shaming a teenage boy for not having lost his virginity is so eighties my friends, but unlike some other classics (like, say, those directed by John Hughes) people seem willing to let some things slide in their adoration of the Sisters and their representation of Halloween.
So, try not to worry too much about the optics as you browse these pictures. Just enjoy yourself – we’ve waited basically an entire generation to see the Sandersons together again.
