It might not surprise you that WD-40 has uses outside its advertised one.

But you might be surprised by just how many things that little blue can does if you really put it to good use!

If you’ve got a can of WD-40 in your garage, get ready to buy a few more – because you’re going to be going through it like hotcakes after you finish this list!

9. Cleaning your car.

A few blasts of WD-40 on your bumper and windshield, and all of those bugs from your road trip are wiped clean away.

It will also remove grime, tar, and paint that doesn’t belong – all while leaving your own paint job intact.

8. Untangling jewelry.

We all know how frustrating it can be when your necklaces and bracelets are tangled into a hopeless snarl, but stress no more!

A little WD-40 and you should be able to straighten it out in no time.

7. Unsticking zippers.

Jammed zippers are also frustrating as heck!

But before you start tugging hard enough to ruin a beloved piece of clothing or a kid’s favorite jacket, try a little WD-40.

It might just do the trick.

6. Removing crayon.

If you’ve got a toddler or a preschooler, chances are you’ve found crayon where it’s not supposed to be – walls, carpet, furniture, etc.

But some WD-40 can erase them like magic.

5. Keeping insects out and off.

Some WD-40 on your windowsills and doorframes will keep spiders and other insects from getting inside.

And get this – if you’re a gardener, some WD-40 on your tomato cages will keep bugs from munching away there, too.

4. Removing gum.

Kids and gum, am I right?

If your little ends up with gum in their hair, some WD-40 will get it right out, with less mess than peanut butter (though you can’t eat it).

It will also take gum off the bottom of your shoe.

3. Making your artificial plants shine.

Plants indoors can look dusty and tired, but spraying them with WD-40 will spruce them right up.

Remember… these are artificial plants. Don’t spray the alive ones.

2. Removing tape and sticker glue.

Again, those kids! If you’ve got them, you’ve got stickers where they’re not supposed to be!

And who hasn’t taped something to a wall and later had regrets when it won’t come off?

Spray WD-40 on the remains before you wipe the remains right away!

1. Getting out all kinds of stains.

Ink stains on your jeans? Lipstick on a collar? Berries? Give WD-40 a try before you throw anything out!

Wow! I’m going to need to invest or something!
